Nij-Grinslân is a collection of islands administered by the Nij-Grinslân Kompanjy, a subsidiary of Fryslan, consisting of Nij-Grins and Skiermûntseach in the Sea of Fire. The territories are the most remote of Frisian holdings relative to the capital of Ljouwert and are Fryslan's only territories in the Sea of Fire. This has given it a unique status as a neutral zone in a region otherwise dominated by the Fire Nation, with Frisian coastal authorities briefly harbouring Silverist ships during the Battle of the Straits and hosting the New Yorkish Times printing press, a pro-Silverist newspaper.
