Ljouwert is the capital and one of the biggest cities of Fryslân. It has a population of 1, and is the main hub for economic activities within Fryslân. It faces the Central Sea in the east, and the Earth Kingdom in the north. It is Fryslân's oldest city, and was founded by the current CEO of Fryslân Corp., supersteef2000.
History
Ljouwert was founded on the same day as Fryslân as we know it today, on 12 February 2021. The first building constructed was CEO supersteef2000's dirt hut. Construction of the Ljouwert Tower started soon after.
Geography
Ljouwert is located in the northeast of the Frisian mainland. South of the city lies Snits, to the southeast the Ljouwert Baai and the island Skylge can be found, and the West Frisian desert can be located west of the city.
Sports
Keatsclub Ljouwert is Ljouwert's keats team. On 29 November it was announced their planned match against the Snitser 'Destroyers' could continue. This match, held on 3 December 2021, ended up being the longest keats match in history. After 4 days, on 7 December 2021, they ended up losing the match, with the Snitser 'Destroyers' coming out victorious.
Media
Omrop Fryslân has their headquarters in Ljouwert. They are the only source of Frisian news within Fryslân, and regularly side with Fryslân Corp. in any events that occur.
