Bending guide
Bending is one of the two most powerful plugins currently on the server. It has 6 separate elements: Water, Earth, Fire, Air, Chi, and Spirit. While the powers of each element vary, all give the player a set of powers pertaining to their element which let them exert power over the world or other players without requiring resources or crafting. The only requirement to be able to bend is simply making the correct motions to trigger a move, and sources (water and earth only). A player may hold only one element at a given time. Each element also has subelements, which are specialised uses. Each player may only have one of these.
Strictly speaking, "element" is a reductive term to use for all six options. While fire, water, earth, and air all fit this description as all give a player a set of powers that lets them control aspects of the physical world, chi and spirit do not.
Chiblockers do not bend anything at all, and instead use a form of martial arts which lets them deal greater damage in physical blows, paralyze enemies, or stun bending for a period of time.
Spirits also do not bend, but they do have powers. Spirits are not "Spiritbenders" but are literal Spirits with a non-corporeal form. As a result, their magics are primarily non-physical and affect things such as damage, their own speed, or buffs/debuffs for themselves or targets.
Mechanics
To choose your element, the user must enter
/b ch element
which will fix their element. They will be automatically granted all subelements, and will be asked by a server operator which one they wish to keep where the others are restrained.
Bending operates on a slots system. The user has 9 slots on their hotbar in the game, and picks one element and from that element, one subelement. They are then given a list of ~10 moves which can be used.
Each move is bound to a slot with the command
/b b movename
while on said slot
To see a list of all moves, users can use the command
/b d element
and to see what moves they have bound to which slot, or what others have bound, they can use
/b w username
If a teacher is unavailable to help a user learn how to use a move, or to better refine its use, there is the option of
/b h movename
which will display guides on how to use said move as well as what it should look like.
