The United Socialist Republic of Yorktown was a short-lived country in the Atlas Sea, briefly dissolving the Republic of Yorktown before becoming the Duchy of Yorktown. The nation was run by President Jack Blue-Reed, who is now the Duke.
History
The socialist republic was established during the April Revolution, wherein the Socialists were able to gain a majority to pass dramatic changes after the First election of Yorktown. These measures included dissolving private industry, renaming the nation and the anthem, and stripping the incumbent president of office. The army did not intervene in these events due to Yorkish entry into the Spirit War. This period soon ended with the new President Jack Blue-Reed reading the Book of Fire, prompting a religious wave to sweep the country. The Socialist Republic formally dissolved into the Duchy of Yorktown when Blue-Reed signed the Yorkish Terms of Vassalization to the Fire Nation.
