Khashlem
Khashlem is a village in the Khanate Grazing Lands. The village is majority Acacian and was once the capital of Brahnir's "Kingdom of Acacia" during The Brothers' War. During the war, a major battle was fought outside the village between Acacian and Khanate forces. While the Acacians inflicted significant casualties on the Khans despite their inferior numbers, Khan riders were ultimately able to overwhelm their defenses.
The village is strategically located on the banks of the Northern Canal, making it a small destination for sailors in the region. After the Battle of Khashlem, many refugees fled into the canal in the knowledge that the Khans would not dare disrupt this important international trade node. These refugees were collected by the Order of the Red Flower and relocated to Mexico City and Freeport, with some further resettling into new homes abroad, such as in Sky's Canyon.
