Inkwood

Inkwood is the capital city of the Air Nation and the site of the Elysian Temple. Built by Grandmaster Paperweight, it is known for its communal and welcoming atmosphere, as well as turtle farming, an obscure cult to Water Tribe leader Chieftain aDwarfNamedUrist, and as the home of the Air Nation's airships and navy. It is also the sight of many great debates and sermons for Empyreanism, the Nation's religion.

Mexican War

During the Mexican War, Inkwood suffered a great deal of damage from New Mexican invaders, primarily explosives. More damage yet was caused as Fire Nation soldiers, fighting to defend the capital, accidentally caused small fires. At one point, the Great Hall almost burned down, temporarily causing a ceasefire until the flames could be restrained. Following the two battles at Inkwood, the city was left devastated. A prompt reparation effort took place, restoring life to the capital.

Some of its residents fled the city, arriving at the Floating City where they mingled with Mexican refugees to form that city's new and unique cultural atmosphere.
