The Fuel Revolution was an overnight increase in fuel efficiencies for all crafts that required fuel to run. Airships became entirely fuel-free, like ships, while AirSkiffs and AirCruisers saw their efficiency increase by 10-40x with similar changes made to Submarines and SubAirships.
The Fuel Revolution was the first meta change introduced by community consensus. The cost of travel in terms of fuel costs beforehand was prohibitively expensive, making it only useful for long-distance overland transport of large quantities of goods, or as a statement of power and wealth. As an example, a planned trip from Mexico City to Fryslan to Air Temple Valley was expected to take 10.5 stacks of coal.
The Fuel Revolution saw an explosion of interest in aircrafts, with a new Air Nation airship being constructed and the first non-AN airships being completed: the Arboria and the REY Badgermole. Airskiffs and Submarines also became more popular, with Fryslan and Cassland leading in these areas.
