Home of the The Sun People, it was once the site of major tensions with the Fire Nation for deportation and frequent ethnic violence between the new arrivals and the locals. Located in the Elysian Temple's jurisdiction, the residents are now mostly integrated into the Empyrean faith, but their firebending ability remains. Following the creation of the Western Temple jurisdiction, the village was added to the Elysian Temple's jurisdiction as compensation for the loss of Mexico City. Nowadays, the village is a key transit hub, connecting Inkwood to the Eastern Temple and Southern Temple road networks.
