Lavabending is a powerful subelement of earthbending that lets Earthbenders control lava as well as melt or solidify lava and earth into each other. It is one of the most dangerous forms of bending due to its ability to start fires, slow enemies to a crawl through its weight, but is also a highly dangerous weapon to use. Lavabenders can control lava but they are not immune to it. Unlike firebenders, who are granted some protection from flames, lavabenders are entirely at the mercy of their element if it comes into contact with them.
Abilities
LavaFlow
This move is the primary move for lavabenders due to its versatility. It has three uses:
a) Lava pools
By clicking on any valid earth block, the blocks will display particles and begin to melt, creating a small circular pool of around 5x5 blocks. This will stay for a few seconds before cooling.
b) Solidify lava
By clicking on any lava, the lava will gradually solidify into an area of stone. This allows lavabenders to defend themselves and others against the lava of other lavabenders, as well as protect themselves in risky environments such as the Nether or underground.
c) Lava moat
By holding crouch, lavabenders can create a small island in a small pool of lava around themselves. While this move has extreme potency against enemies in a short range as well as psychological intimidation, it also means the lavabender is surrounded by lava and they are thus extremely prone to being knocked in by an enemy. Additionally, the island can be quite small, making it difficult to keep allies or oneself from falling in due to lack of space. It's therefore advisable to erect defenses of regular earth in the shape of your island before using this move in combat.
MagmaRush
This move is a direct attack move with powerful effects and doesn't require any lava sources to use. The user holds crouch at any earth and magma blocks will jump up. If they click somewhere while holding crouch, a stream of magma blocks will follow for a second or two, leaving a small pool of lava behind afterwards from where the source came. This does many hearts of damage to an enemy and can potentially start fires.
