The result saw the Ithenbergers forced to withdraw to their hilly capital region and opened the way for Hrottkanite forces to invade their territories from the south. The battle would prove a strategic loss for the Veynir, however, as the Ithenbergers would invite the newly arrived Trolvistan armies in the west to support them, ultimately leading to the Veynir's disastrous alignment with the League of Emeris.
