Serene Republic of Pepper was a country. It was formally dissolved by its Presidium on the 30th of January 2023, following an extended fuel crisis, whereupon it was annexed by Australis.
History
Pepper began as an offshoot of Yorkish socialists, who left the country following Blue-Reed's conversion to the Church of Fire following the April Revolution.
Geography
Highly isolated, Pepper was a self-sufficient community embedded in the icy landscape. The community continues its lifestyle to this day, harvesting ice and snow for foreign export.
Government and politics
The Presidium of the republic held all authority, administering the territory via a parliamentary socialist government.
Economy
Pepper had a socialist mode of distribution which, combined with its slim territory, enabled it to develop into a remarkably wealthy territory for its region.
Demographics
All residents of Pepper were of Yorkish descent.
Culture
All residents of Pepper spoke Yorkish and continued to practise their indigenous culture, albeit modified for their far colder climate.
