Nij-Ljouwert

Nij-Ljouwert was the provincial capital of Nij-Fryslân, a large territory consisting of small islands in the Western Sea claimed by Fryslân. The island acted as a strategic port in the region and saw a great deal of conflict during the Frisian Civil War between abolitionists, monarchists, and anarcho-capitalists.
