	The dawn of the Kirov-class saw a proliferation of warships among many states that was unprecedented, as well as renewed interest in the design and composition of ships. While Kirovs were a potent and reliable weapon, their designs were largely hollow and composed of fragile wooden materials. This made them a risky choice for a firefight and better suited for coastal shelling, as one successful hit from an enemy could easily slice the ship in two. With a much larger profile than the Stonewall, the Omashu packs significantly more guns as well as an emergency lower deck. The ship toured the southern sea upon completion and was then declared to be the first of a larger project, which would see 2 new Destroyers built to accompany a final aircraft carrier. These new destroyers, [[ENS Gaoling]] and [[ENS Ba Sing Se]] (not to be confused with the Kirov sold to [[Andorra]]), were completed soon after, bringing the total of stoneclad ships in the world to 4, with [[FTS M.P.Johnson]] putting this to 5.
