			The Sage of Agna Qel'a, known as [[Maruloq]], spearheaded a significant opposition movement to [[Chieftain]] [[Urist]] due to significant religious and ideological differences. Agna Qel'a was hit by an airstrike which saw Maruloq lose his legs, triggering the outbreak of civil war.

			While Maruloq's forces were able to seize control of the town of Paia's Brook, they would later withdraw from the town without resisting and took on a more guerrilla strategy.

			Later, Agna Qel'a itself would come under occupation by pro-Urist forces. Unable to lose his base of power, Maruloq ordered a counterattack. The pro-government forces in the town were outnumbered, on unfriendly territory, and unfamiliar with the territory, and promptly routed with 50% casualties.

			Despite this victory, it became clear that there could be no easy victory for Agna Qel'a and Maruloq, as his 6,000 soldiers stood no chance when almost double that were in the vicinity alone. As a result, negotiations were held at Lasthold which saw a peaceful resolution to the crisis and the pacification of Agna Qel'a.
